Sharing a report link
A share link lets someone view a Rubric report without an account. Each link has the form /r/<token>, is tokenised and set to noindex, and is read-only. Your reports are private to you by default. A report becomes viewable only when you create a share link for it, and Rubric never publishes anyone's score.

What is a share link?
A share link is a private, read-only URL for a single Rubric report. It has the form /r/<token>, where the token is a long, unguessable string, and it is set to noindex so search engines and AI crawlers are told not to list it. The link is the only way in: anyone who has it can open the report, and anyone who does not cannot.
Sharing is opt-in. A report is private to you until you generate a share link for it, and Rubric never publishes a score on its own.
How do I create a share link?
A report starts private, so you create a share link when you want someone to see it. Generating a share link for a report produces its tokenised /r/<token> URL, which you then send to the person who should read it. Until you do that, the report stays private to your account and nobody else can open it. Each link points at a single report, so sharing one report does not expose any of your others.
What clients see through the link
A viewer with the link sees the report itself. If you have white-labelled it, they see your agency branding rather than Rubric's. What they cannot reach is everything around the report: your account, your other sites and your billing.
| A viewer can | A viewer cannot |
|---|---|
Open the report at /r/<token> and read it | Sign into or see your account |
| See scores, pillars, issues and the Action Plan | Re-run a crawl or change any setting |
| See your branding if the report is white-labelled | See your other sites or billing |
Because the link is read-only, sending it to a client is safe: they can study the audit but cannot alter it.
Are share links private and indexed?
Share links are private by default and set to noindex. Noindex is an instruction that tells search engines and AI crawlers not to add the page to their index, so a shared report should not surface in Google or in AI answers. Combined with the unguessable token, this keeps a report out of public view.
Two things follow from this. First, Rubric never publishes anyone's score, so nothing about your site becomes public unless you choose to share it. Second, the token is the key, so treat the link like a password.
How sharing fits with white-labelling
A share link is how a client actually opens the report you have branded. White-labelling sets what the report looks like, and the share link is the private door to it. Used together, a client opens a read-only report that carries your agency's logo, name and "AI Search Score" label, with none of your account visible behind it.
To brand the report first, see the related articles on white-label reports and adding your agency branding. If you later remove your account, everything, including reports and any share links, is deleted, which the related article on deleting your account and data explains.
