Using Copy for AI
Copy for AI is a button in the report that copies your money queries, the questions your buyers ask, as a ready-to-paste prompt. Paste it into an AI tool such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude, and the prompt asks the model to answer each question and list the sites it cites, so you can see whether it names you. It is a manual spot-check, not an automated tracker.
- →Copy for AI copies your money queries as a ready-to-paste prompt, framed as a citability check.
- →Paste it into an AI tool and read which questions surface your site and which do not.
- →AI answers are non-deterministic, so run each query a few times before drawing a conclusion.
What does Copy for AI do?
Copy for AI copies a prompt to your clipboard. The prompt is not a bare list of questions; it wraps your selected money queries in an instruction that tells the AI to answer each one the way it normally would, then list the specific websites and brands it cited or recommended, and say which questions surface your domain and which do not.
That framing is what makes the paste useful. A raw list of questions tells a model nothing about the task, but the wrapped prompt turns the model into a quick citation check: you paste it once, and the answer tells you where you are named and where a competitor is named instead. When you copy, the button confirms how many queries went to the clipboard.
What are money queries?
Money queries are the high-intent questions in your topic that you want an AI engine to name your site for. They are the questions where being the cited source is worth something, the ones a buyer asks just before they choose.
Rubric proposes these queries from your own pages, drawing on your titles and headings, and tags each with a type. They come pre-ticked in the report so you can copy them straight away, but they are a starting point, not a fixed list. Untick the ones that do not matter to you, edit any to match how a real buyer phrases it, and the copied prompt updates to match.
How do I use the copied prompt?
Using Copy for AI is a short loop:
Why should I run each query more than once?
Because AI answers are non-deterministic. The same question, asked twice, can return different sources and different wording. A single run is a data point, not a verdict, so one answer that leaves you out is not proof you are never cited, and one that names you is not proof you always are.
What Copy for AI does not do
Copy for AI does not run the queries for you, does not count citations, and does not track them over time. It is a fast, manual way to sanity-check whether the pages you have been improving are starting to get named. It pairs naturally with the rest of the report: your Rubric score estimates how citable a page is, and this button lets you eyeball the real answers.
For a measured, repeatable read on citations rather than a spot-check, calibrate against your Bing Webmaster Tools AI Performance export, which reports where Copilot and Bing actually cited you.
